Neighborhood

Just 10 minutes from the Nautla lighthouse, a small marine tower with the magical proportions of a child's drawing, is San Rafael, a town founded at the turn of the century by French immigrants established in a prosperous cattle-breeding colony, whose descendants continue to make cheese and other dairy products with the artisan formulas of their elders.

Martínez de la Torre whose origins go back to the beginning of the 19th century, when the pastures of the area then called Paso de Novillos were used for cattle fattening, it is today a city located on the banks of the Nautla River and constitutes an important agricultural, livestock center and commercial. Near Martínez de la Torre are the Filobobos Rapids, a tourist attraction where you can go rafting down the Filobobos river.
